The SAS SLR was a field customized version of the L1A1 SLR modified by soldiers of the Australian Special Air Service Regiment in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
Modifications include 30 Round SLR magazine, removal of the flash suppressor or shortening of the barrel and fixing an SLR pistol grip to the foregrip.
Our replica is molded in the ‘Action Condition’ with the rear sight vertical ready for use. As you hold the replica against your shoulder and aim it, you will be viewing the same sight picture as Australian soldiers did in Vietnam.
It is made of robust, tough plastic with a steel insert for rigidness. If you intend to paint it, the plastic will accept paint.
