Odachi (Nodachi) Giant 68 inch Full Tang Samurai Sword
We are proud to offer the Odachi sword, a full tang functional hand made work of art. This is Part of our handmade collection fully functional Odachi Sword! The Odachi, sometimes incorrectly referred to as a nodachi sword or no-dachi features a traditional hand braided leather wrap a blackened steel tsuba and pommel along with beautiful red tassels. The sharp function high carbon steel blade is mounted with a traditional copper habaki. The scabbard on this odachi sword is hand made from wood, which is painted in high gloss dark brown liquid finish paint.
This amazing sword is crafted of fine quality stainless steel, in order to replicate as closely as possible the composition of the blade. The Odachi measures an extraordinary 5 feet 8 inches overall with a full tang blade that measures 40" long which continues an extra 21 inch into the handle. The diameter of the steel tsuba is 4 inch and it is hand made. The leather braided handle and matching leather braided scabbard, with a backstrap, and high gloss dark brown polish paint finish the sweeping look of this absolutely superb sword! This Sword is fully functional and includes a brightly colored red tassels for a dramatic conclusion.
